Free
Regulations and Procedures for Inspected and Uninspected Passenger Vessels

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS EVENT WAS RESCHEDULED FROM JANUARY 26 TO FEBRUARY 2.

Join us on February 2 at 7:00 P.M. as we welcome CWO2 Christopher Clark, Marine Inspector, US Coast Guard Sector Maryland-NCR.

Come as early as 6:00 P.M. for captains' social and networking time; food and drinks are available at the Elks bar and restaurant.
For those connecting online, a Zoom link will be posted on the home page one week before the presentation.

CAPCA members typically work on uninspected passenger vessels carrying not more than six passengers for hire or small passenger vessels under 100 gross tons operating under a Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection. This presentation will help you understand how the rules are organized in the Code of Federal Regulations and how to know which rules apply to the vessels you may work on. You will learn about rules for vessel construction, stability, lifesaving equipment, fire protection, and other safety and compliance requirements. This framework will also be valuable for those operating passenger vessels over 100 gross tons or inspected vessels not carrying passengers.
