I was born in Baltimore and have spent most of my life here. In the late '60s I spent time in an Army intelligence unit, with much of the time is Southeast Asia. Fortunately or unfortunately, I am the main character in two books that are based on the investigations of murders that occurred in Vietnam and North Africa on secret military bases. Of course they are both fiction!

I have worked as a police officer in Baltimore and in Baltimore County and for the Police and Correctional Training Commissions there for more than 30 years. I have conducted training for police and correctional officers and emergency responders at every level, including counter-terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. I retired as the facility manager at the Public Safety Training Center in Sykesville, Maryland. I currently work for Harbor Boating, Inc., in Baltimore.

I live in Pasadena, Maryland, with my wife of more than 38 years. I have served as CAPCA’s treasurer before and have gotten to know and work with CAPCA members.
