Students will gain knowledge in CPR, AED, first aid basics, and medical emergencies. This course includes additional first aid information specifically for boaters that is not included in standard first aid courses. Upon completion of the training, students will receive an American Heart Association Course Completion Card in CPR/AED & First Aid for adults and children. This certification card is accepted by the USCG for Captain’s License requirements.
The program is taught by American Heart Association Certified Instructors who are all experienced boaters. An AHA approved CPR Face Mask is required for this course. If you do not have one, a mask will be available for purchase at the class for $15.00. This course includes the following additional boater specific first aid information that is not included in standard first aid courses: Carbon Monoxide Exposure, Near Drowning and Hypothermia, Electric Shock Drowning (ESD), Head Injuries, Sunburn, and more.
