This course is intended to satisfy the professional requirement of attending an approved training course in lieu of the 360-sea day requirement as outlined in 46 CFR Part 10.227 (Requirements for Renewal). Upon successfully completing this USCG-approved class and exam, you will be issued a certificate that will be accepted by the USCG as part of your renewal application for MMCs OUPV up to 100-ton Master, Inland and Near Coastal, in lieu of 360 days of sea service. The completion certificate must be submitted with the MMC renewal application and will be in-lieu of the 360-sea day requirement for renewal. Course completion certificates will be valid for one year.

Students who register less than 10 days prior to the class might receive an electronic course completion certificate via email instead of a paper certificate handed to them at the end of the class.
