What: MITAGS will host up to 24 CAPCA members (not open to public) to learn about their programs, tour their facility, and 
experience their ship’s bridge simulator.

When: Monday, February 24, at 1000-1200.

Why: This is an outstanding opportunity to witness first-hand one of the world's leading ship’s bridge simulators and to see

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Maryland – National Capital Region Command Center Tour

In advance of the May 20 monthly meeting featuring Coast Guard representatives discussing Emergency Services on the Water, we’ll be able to tour the Sector’s Command Center in Baltimore, where all Coast Guard response operations in Maryland waters (including the Potomac River) are coordinated.

This is a members-only event. Attendance is limited to 20 registrants.

Last day to register is April 1.

Members Only Tour of Two Historic Ships: SS John W. Brown and NS Savannah

When: Wednesday, March 19, 2025, beginning at 9 A.M., and concluding no later than 3 P.M.

Where: Pier 13 in Baltimore

CAPCA members will have a unique opportunity to tour two historic ships located at Pier 13 in Baltimore: SS John W. Brown and NS Savannah. Due to space limitations, attendees will be limited to a maximum of 35. We will tour one ship in the morning, take a pause for a brown bag lunch, and then tour the next ship in the afternoon. The cost is $15. Out of respect for both ships needing to coordinate enough docents, registration is a committment to a full day of tours, meaning that you will tour both ships. If there is enough interest in individual half-day tours of just one ship, the program committee will arrange follow-up tours later in 2025.

Since this tour is for members only, members must log in to register. Registration closes March 12.
